Congratulations to Ava Dwyer, Valedictorian, and Lilianna Wright, Salutatorian!
Ava Dwyer, has been named the Valedictorian of the Wells Central School Class of 2025. Ava is the daughter of Rachelle and Benjie Dwyer of Wells, NY. Ava is currently enrolled in the HFM BOCES New Visions Health Care program at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She is the president of the Student Council and president of the Creative Writing Club. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, the Athletic Association, the International Club, SADD, Drama Club, and Ski Club. She has been one of the team captains for the Varsity Soccer, Varsity Softball, and Varsity Basketball teams. Outside of school, Ava enjoys playing piano for her church, volunteering at the Vacation Bible School as a youth leader, helping with the One District One book reading program, assisting with the Red Cross blood drives, the Community Pride Day, and the local food drive. At graduation, she will receive the Seal of Bi-Literacy, the Seal of Civic Readiness, and an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors. Ava will be going to Hudson Valley Community College in the fall to study nursing.
Lilianna Wright, has been named the Salutatorian of the Wells Central School Class of 2025. Lilianna is the daughter of Kristy and Rob Wright of Wells, NY. Lilianna is the president of the National Honor Society, Class treasurer, a member of the Athletic Association, International Club, SADD, creative writing, and Yearbook Club. She has been one of the team captains of the Varsity Soccer, Basketball, and Softball teams. In 2024 she received the female athlete of the year award. Outside of school Lilianna can be found volunteering with the Red Cross blood drives, working as a lifeguard, helping with the One District One book reading program, and the Community Pride Day. Lilianna will receive the seal of Bi-Literacy, seal of civic readiness, and an Advanced Regents Diploma at graduation. Lilianna plans on attending Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. She has been accepted in the six year doctorate program for Physical Therapy in which she will start in the fall.
