Backpack Program

Wells Central School is pleased to offer the BackPack Program for eligible students. Research has shown the BackPack Program helps improve attendance and academic performance.

The BackPack Program is designed to provide eligible students with additional nutritional support on weekends when school breakfasts and lunches aren’t available. The program provides bags filled with food that is child-friendly, nonperishable and easily-consumed. Bags are packed each week by school staff and discreetly distributed to participating children every Friday afternoon.

How to Donate to the BackPack Program:

• Submit donations only to the Regional Food Bank.
  
  

• Checks should be made out to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, with a notation designating the funds for Wells Central School’s BackPack Program in the memo line of the check by writing: “BP – Wells Central School"
